Look for a field trip permission slip in your student's green homework folder!
Here is an overview of our week.
Language Arts
Spalding: We will continue working through our words. Remember that your student should be studying the phonograms consistently. Staying sharp with the phonograms is key to learning how to spell and decode. If your student could use support in Spalding, please send them in Thursday mornings for tutoring. Tutoring will be held in my classroom from 7:10-7:45.
Literature: Our class has been enjoying The Trumpet of the Swan.
Singapore: We have been working on fractions. Please send your scholar into math tutoring on Wednesday mornings from 7:10-74:45 for extra support.
History: This history unit is focused on the Early Spanish and French Explorers. This week Wednesday, the students will be tested.
Science: In science we are working on classification of animals. We have worked through reptiles, fish, and birds. Ask your student what makes a fish unique from other animals.
As always please email me with any questions or concerns.
Warmly,
Miss Elfelt
