Don't forget that there is no school on Wednesday!
Language Arts
Composition/Grammar: This week is a composition week. We will continue to include our study of adjectives in our composition lessons.
Spalding: We will continue working through our words. If your student could use support in Spalding, please send them in Tuesday mornings for tutoring. Tutoring will be held in my classroom from 7:10-7:45.
Literature: We will begin our study of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe this week. The students are thrilled! Please make sure you send the book in as soon as possible.
Singapore: We have begun a fluency program. A parent letter went home with the homework procedures. Students will only have homework in Rocket Math if they need extra practice in a set of facts. Please be sure to read the letter. This week we will continue studying multiplication and thinking about the distributive property.
History: We will continue our study of Ancient Rome.
Poetry: We will be reading "Horatius at the Bridge". This famous poem about a Roman hero will help our scholars get a sense of Ancient Rome. This poem will not be memorized in its entirety rather, small selections will be chosen.
As always please email me with any questions or concerns.
Warmly,
Miss Elfelt
