Quarter Two Week of November 30th

Hello Parents! I hope your break was delicious and restful. I saw refreshed scholars today who brought a new energy to finish this quarter with. Here is an overview of our week.


Language Arts

Composition/Grammar: This week is a composition week. We will be reading more background on C.S. Lewis' life. 

Spalding: We will continue working through our words. If your student could use support in Spalding, please send them in Tuesday mornings for tutoring. Tutoring will be held in my classroom from 7:10-7:45.

Literature: We will continue our study of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe this week. The students are loving the story. Ask your student why Edmund was

Singapore: We have been working on multiplication and division. This week we will dive deeper by adding multiplication and division word problems into the mix. Please send your scholar into math tutoring on Wednesday mornings from 7:10-74:45 for extra support.


History: We will continue our study of Ancient Rome. Ask your student why the Roman people loved Pompey the Great. What did he buy for the people?

Poetry: We will be memorizing Christmas Bells by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow found on page 63-64 of The Harp and Laurel Wreath.
