Here is an overview of our week.
Language Arts
Spalding: We will continue working through our words. Remember that your student should be studying the phonograms consistently. Staying sharp with the phonograms is key to learning how to spell and decode. If your student could use support in Spalding, please send them in Thursday mornings for tutoring(this is a change!). Tutoring will be held in my classroom from 7:10-7:45.
Literature: We are reading Pinocchio. The students have been loving this book and sympathize with Pinocchio.
Singapore: We have been working on long division with and without remainders. Please send your scholar into math tutoring on Wednesday mornings from 7:10-74:45 for extra support.
History: This unit of history focuses on the Earliest Americans. We will be studying Native Tribes from all around North and South America. Last week we learned about tribes from Arizona. This week we will continue. Friday the dwelling project is due. I look forward to seeing and hearing all about the projects. Please email me with any questions.
Science: In science we are studying light and optics. We have learned about reflection and will continue to study light and color.
