- This Friday is a half day. We dismiss at 12:00.
- If you haven't already please send in Little House on the Prairie!! We have started and the students will have chapters to read for homework starting soon.
Composition/Grammar: This week we will be briefly continuing our study of plural nouns. The rest of the week will be composition focused.
Spalding: We will continue to move quickly through the words introducing new rules and markings as they appear. We will be starting cursive writing this week!
Literature: The students will be assigned chapters to read at home. If you can spare the time read aloud to your child and have them read to you.
Singapore: We have started our new unit of mental math. They have been practicing addition and we will work on subtraction as well.
Science: We will continue our study of astronomy. This week we will measure the sun using shadows. Next we will study our solar system and the planets.
Poetry: Last week we worked on The Tide Rises, the Tide Falls by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. We will continue to work on memorization this week. Wednesday-Friday I will asses the students according to our recitation rubric that was sent home.
