On Tuesday night we have our second concert. The scholars have been preparing and working diligently in music. Read the post below for important updates.
Here is an overview of our week.
Language Arts
Spalding: We will continue working through our words. Remember that your student should be studying the phonograms consistently. Staying sharp with the phonograms is key to learning how to spell and decode. If your student could use support in Spalding, please send them in Thursday mornings for tutoring. Tutoring will be held in my classroom from 7:10-7:45.
Literature: This week we began The Little Prince. Please send your student in with their copy of the book.
Singapore: We just finished the unit on time. Please send your scholar into math tutoring on Wednesday mornings from 7:10-74:45 for extra support.
Science: In science we are working on classification of animals. We tested Monday and will spend the rest of the week focused on history.
History: We are continuing our study of the thirteen colonies. This week we will learn about Captain John Smith and the Powhatan tribe.
